Founded and led by Daniela Mitterberger, the XAIA lab focuses on advancing computational methods to enable seamless human-machine collaboration through adaptive digital fabrication and extended reality (XR) technologies. Our research explores dynamic manufacturing processes, digital twin systems and XR reality frameworks and integrates these innovations with computational design and robotic manufacturing. By combining disciplines such as human-computer interaction, robotic systems, architecture, engineering and construction, we aim to redefine the boundaries of design and production in the built environment.
